In the app: go to Settings → Account → Erase My Account. This deletes your sign-in account, your app settings and consent record, and the saved chats, name and date of birth on that device. From app version 2.0.3 it also deletes your conversation history held by our AI partner Dify and your onboarding record (name and email). We’ll email you to confirm.
Request deletion without the app: email support@allylama.com from your account email with the subject “Delete my account”. We’ll confirm within 30 days. Use this too if you’re on an older app version, or if the in-app erase couldn’t finish.
What we keep, and why: a credit record (your email, credits remaining and subscription status), so the free messages can’t be claimed again by re-creating an account; your subscription record at RevenueCat, which we delete when you ask unless we must keep it; and any reports you sent, while we still need them for safety. Subscriptions: deleting your account or the app doesn’t cancel a subscription. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account (how to cancel).

How do my 21 free credits work?
When you first open Ally Lama, you receive 21 free messages. Each message you send uses one credit. Once your credits are used, you can choose an auto-renewing monthly or annual subscription for unlimited conversations. Messages about suicide or self-harm are never charged.
Are my conversations private?
Your saved chats are stored on your device. To reply, your messages are sent securely to our AI partners: Dify, which keeps a conversation history for 90 days after your last message, and Anthropic, whose AI model writes Ally Lama’s replies. ElevenLabs creates Ally Lama’s voice. We never sell your data or use it for ads. See our Privacy Policy.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, at any time, in your App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) account settings; cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google. See our Terms.
Is Ally Lama suitable for children?
Ally Lama is for ages 13 and up, and it isn’t available to anyone younger (or, for now, to under-18s in India). Under-18s should use it with a parent’s or guardian’s agreement, and extra protections are on for 13 to 17-year-olds (see our Safety page). Ally Lama is an AI focused on wisdom and reflection. Companion chatbots may not be suitable for some minors, and Ally Lama is not a substitute for professional support.
Is Ally Lama a real person?
No. Ally Lama is an AI. Every reply is generated by artificial intelligence, and AI can sometimes be wrong. Ally Lama offers reflection and wisdom, never medical, psychological or religious advice.
How do I report a harmful or wrong response?
From app version 2.0.3, use Report on any of Ally Lama’s replies. You can also email support@allylama.com with the subject “Report a response”. We read every report.
What scriptures and wisdom does Ally Lama draw from?
Ally Lama draws from a broad range of ancient wisdom traditions including Buddhist teachings, the Bhagavad Gita, Stoic philosophy, and other foundational texts of human thought and spirituality.
How do I make a complaint?
Email support@allylama.com with the subject “Complaint” (or “Data protection complaint” if it’s about your data). We’ll acknowledge it within 30 days and tell you the outcome as soon as we can.
